Camping Le Vallon du Luberon, Bonnieux 🇫🇷

Camping Le Vallon holds a very special place in our hearts; it feels like home in so many ways; we even honeymooned in one of the lodges. Before COVID-19, we would holiday here at least twice, if not three times a year. There was always a warm welcome from the then site owners Veronique and her husband, Olivier. They sold the site in 2021, and we are yet to return to this little piece of heaven in Provence; however, we are sure that when we do the welcome will be as warm as always!

The site consists of several parts; a tents-only area, surrounding a crystal clear pond (including terrapin); terraced pitches with dividing hedges; a cherry orchard, shaded camping spots, yurts, gypsy caravans and other unusual accommodations; and lodges surrounding a natural pool with panoramic views of the village of Bonnieux.

Wifi is available at the reception area only, although a 4g mobile signal is available throughout the site – a far cry from the early days when you were lucky to get a mobile signal at all!

Local to the campsite are the villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste and Menerbes. All of which feature in Peter Mayles best selling ‘ A Year In Provence’

Cafe de France in Lacoste offers a simple yet delicious menu with exquisite views over the Luberon valley.
